FSU vs Miami : Lets Ready To Cause Some Fumbles

The Canes get ready to play FSU this Saturday in Miami. The annual rivalry is just as big as ever and expectations are high for the Hurricanes. Canes fans expect a win, we are looking for the defense to be imposing. We are looking for the offense to come together and score at will. We want to control FSU for all 4 quarters and limit our turnovers.

What is it gonna take to make this happen?

It is going to take a lot of control by the offense first and foremost with the game clock. We want to control as much of the playing time as possible by spreading out drives to 10 plays 6-7 minutes at a time. We need to use our big offensive line who is getting better every week and run the ball straight up the gut for 4.5 yards each time. Jacory needs to stay focused on those who are going to catch the ball and be spectacular afterwards. We have too many potential talents and we need to focus on current talents during game-time. Our current proven talents are Hankerson and Berry, they both perform well consistently. Get them the ball constantly and they will be move the chains.

Defense needs to get out its hammer and smack down the FSU offense. Defense needs to concentrate on causing turnovers, fumbles specifically. We see the defense causing some fumbles in this game which could be the difference in the game if the offense fails to produce. Defensive intimidation from the first set of downs will be crucial for the Canes, so they need to establish their presence immediately.

Lets Go Canes.

Canes Storm Through Clemson

Can you say "Thankerson", as in thank you Hankerson for making the Canes look good. Yes we did get the W but we could have just as easily got the loss. Hankerson grabbed three touchdown catches from Harris and was just plain ridiculous on Saturday. 7 catches for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns puts Hankerson's performance as one of the top ten receiving games by a Canes player. Leonard is just plain consistent, get him the ball and he will make you look good, period. Jacory knows this and was obviously looking for him whenever possible. This was one of the best choice Jacory has made in the past few weeks, it shows that he recognizes the need to get the ball to those players who will produce results and go beyond expectations.

Jacory is not producing beyond expectations, currently he is failing to meet the high hopes Hurricane fans have for him. He has a great career completion percentage which shows he has delivered the ball well the majority of the time, but the interceptions overshadow this tremendously. To his credit, about 30% of his interceptions have been the rceivers fault but that's really it, the rest are his mistakes. Nevertheless we will take the win and look forward to Florida State.

We expect Jacory will be up for the game and we expect to see a big game out of him as he knows how much the game means tomCanes fans. We need to give him the support he needs from the Canes fan base and the crowd noise he expects against FSU at the stadium.

Let's go Canes

Gameday Baby, Clemson Crunching Time

Kyle Parker has a cool million in the bank now, so it's time to to go crunch him. We don't wish him harm, but we do wish to let him know the Canes defense is for real and banking that signing bonus was the right decision, cause he's gonna get banged up in Saturdays game. The Canes are looking to get some justice after last years game where Spiller tore us apart and we lost 40-37 in overtime. This year the Canes are looking to keep this game from getting to close by jumping on Clemson and Parker earlier. You should see some big things out of the special teams today as well as Berry and Hankerson again. Jacory will need to come out early and start firing using the protection our well developing offensive line is going to provide.

Our predicition is 27-17 , Miami win.
