Is Seantrell Henderson Coming To The Canes

Seantrel Henderson is a 6 foot 8, 337 pound beast of an offensive tackle. He comes from Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul Minnesota and he is the top rated offensive tackle in the nation. Just recently he was released by USC which was his first choice of colleges to play for until recently. Now, the rumors are he is in Miami and could potentially become a Miami Hurricane.

Wikipedia says Tom Lemming called Henderson "a cross between Jonathan Ogden and Orlando Pace", two of the best offensive tackles in the NFL over the past decade, while Sports Illustrated described him "probably the most polished lineman of the past decade." That is some serious touting of talent by well know football critics. Henderson is just the type of addition that could help make an immediate impact on the Canes. He would also be one of the best supporting players for Jacory Harris giving him a great protector on the offensive line.

In 2009, Henderson helped Cretin-Derham Hall to a 5A state championship and was named Minnesota Player of the Year by the Associated Press.Henderson was released from his commitment to USC on July 6, 2010. His decision to walk away from his commitment came after the NCAA banned USC from bowl games for two years and imposed severe scholarship restrictions following an investigation surrounding Heisman Trophy-winning tailback Reggie Bush dating to the Trojans’ 2004 national championship
