Scott Lawson, the stud who popped 4 homeruns for the Canes in the regional series has signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. Scott just confirmed that he is now in Princeton West Virginia starting his career with the Rays Princeton rookie league club. Lawson was a steady addition to the Canes squad and played with a lot of heart and soul. He was a standout on the Canes squad as one of the more visibly passionate members of the team. He plays with a lot of gusto and he is tremendously talented. When called on this year to make the transition over to first he did that seamlessly.
Congratulations Scott on the road ahead, its all about the U.
